"ba ba booey."

!!!!!!!!!

The main office at work mostly mutes sound from outside and from the inside, but at the end of the second episodes of Parks and Recreation I made a noise that made someone walking by outside turn around and glance through the window in concern. Shook a little with joy, I think. Grabbed at my face and maybe sobbed melodramatically. ( Read more... )

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LOVING THINGS AND TALKING ABOUT THEM.

PREACH. I'm hoping that now that shows like Happy Endings and Parks and Rec are actively saying that being indifferent is lame/it's good to be excited about things means that society is over it. BECAUSE I SURE AM.

ETA omg Casino Night was my second thought after that episode ended, somehow this felt SO MUCH BETTER. Probably because there was no crying.

I AM SO OVER IT. man, the fact that that Happy Endings episode with the hipster jokes ended with a big, loud declaration that caring is not a bad thing, that it's good to be happy and want things and to dance, made me so happy. THANK YOU, SHOW.

Casino Night made me bawl because Jim was leaving and Pam had turned him down and it was a last resort and they had a lot of things against them. Road Trip made me cheer because both of them made it clear they liked each other and no one was really going anywhere and the only real obstacle was Chris and his stupid rules. YAY FOR HAPPY ENDINGS! THE OTHER KIND!

I freaked out at the end of Parks and Rec. I wasn't expecting it and I loved that! Realistic yet a surprise. Plus, April and Andy continue to be my darlings. I love when things work out and people are happy!

Being indifferent is uncool. People should squee with pride.

Yes! And I love that this show constantly allows for that! Hey, characters! You can do anything! You should be happy!

And ugh, yes. I only wish that was a more popular opinion.

Even though we knew something was going to happen, I was still very "is this real life?" when it did! I really can't remember the last time TV affected me this way.

YES! I knew something was going to happen, and I knew it would happen eventually, but I did not expect that - and neither did I expect my reaction (or the shrillness/volume of my reaction, heh). Ugh, this show makes me so happy. I can't think of anything else that encourages this level of joy this consistently.
