Well, that was an interesting experiment. I made my first ever batch of steel-cut oatmeal in the crockpot Friday night, and had it for breakfast 3 days in a row. Wow, that stuff is *filling* -- I wasn't hungry for hours after eating it. I forgot to prep it last night, so ended up having a meal-replacement bar for breakfast today. And I'll be darned

Ahzi, our oldest, is on meds twice a day for her thyroid. Thank god it's an oral liquid, I'd never be able to get pills down her throat.
