Sometimes writing your senator does help. It's hard because we're from such a conservative state, but the best thing to do? Let your senator know that if they vote for that, you'll vote for someone else and do it. And organize and get other people to do the same. That's how you change your government, man. It's hard work, but it's important if it's for something you believe in.
