Title: COLLEGE
Pairing: Yoochun/Ga-In
Rating: G
Summary: Yoochun and Ga-In have separated as college bound students; now all he can do is reminisce.
Song(s) used for inspiration: Royksopp - Silver Cruiser
Yoochun somehow manages, after hours of internal debate, to open up a new window on his laptop, and write the email. It reads:
Ga-In,
I know you’re busy with life and school and work, and you may not even have a chance to read this email for a while, but I just wanted to send it anyway. And let you know...
Days are monotonous now without you around
I look at the oversized coffee mug you bought me, the flip flops, and the comb you left here that day we went to the beach.
Everytime I glance out a window and someone assumes something is on my mind, it's always you.
You brought me up; you brought me down; you turned this little world of mine around.
You even somehow managed to bring color to my sky, laughter to my silence, sun to my life.
You were like colors rushing by in a speeding car: fast and unreadable, but you were always there.
You took my hand and showed me new things without even trying.
I never knew I, that my heart, was empty, until you filled it effortlessly.
Without a thought you recreated reality, because I believed in you- because I believe in you.
You bring me up; you bring me down; you turn this little world of mine around.
--Yoochun
As he hits the send button, he slumps back in his desk chair; hands laid listlessly in his lap, eyes focused on nothing as he runs to the recesses of his mind. He wonders if sending It were a mistake; if it were too endearing, too weak, too profound, too cheesy. Yet all he sees when he closes his eyes are she and he together in the park near his house and when he would push her on the swings that they were much too big for; on her patio late at night when her parents were either asleep or gone; looking out over the view when they visited the city for New Years; them sharing ice cream and how she hated it when he managed to pat some on the tip of her nose. He remembers the night they got caught in a forming storm and how the rain started to fall as she confessed she thought about him everyday they weren’t together. Did she still feel even an ounce of the way she did then, now? He remembers them kissing for the first time when the clock stroke twelve.
Coming out of his thoughts, he looks at the pile of papers, highlighters and pens in front of him, remembering the task at hand sullenly, then gets up to look out the window and at the sky, sun shining on his face, highlighting his uncertainty.
That night as Yoochun sleeps soundly, an email pops up in his inbox reading only four words:
I miss you too ♥
