If Evan was given the choice of a white picket fence and an apple pie cooling in the windowsill with some girl, or living in an old, rundown apartment and barely making ends meet with Pietro, he wouldn't even have to think about it.

Sometimes, Pietro lets himself imagine them running away and getting a brand new start someplace where they don't have to hide.

Evan always stays for coffee in the morning.

Pietro isn't afraid of the dark now that he has Evan there to keep the monsters away.

Pietro tries to ignore the painful twisting of his heart in his chest and the feeling of it's shallow beats reverberating through his body whenever he sees Evan flirting with someone.

Evan makes a mental note to leave his bedroom door open when Pietro doesn't stop in time and slams into it one day.

They're drunk and Evan knows that he'll regret it in the morning, but hell if he pulls away before Pietro.

Logan has been springing a lot of practice sessions on them lately, and even though Pietro says he's cool with it, Evan can tell he's lying.

His mother has always told him not to play with fire or he'll get burned, and as he stares at Pietro beneath him, moaning his name, Evan supposes it's a good thing he's always been a masochist at heart.

Pietro wonders aloud what it would be like to have sex with Mr. Fantastic, just because he knows it'll make Evan jealous.

Pietro is among the few handful of people that know of Evan's fear of flying.

Evan holds back a grimace as Pietro shoves another bite of cheesecake into his mouth, and thinks that maybe letting Kitty and Pietro alone in a kitchen was not the greatest idea.

Evan was the first to sign his cast, and seeing their initials encircled in a heart every time he looked down almost made the broken limb bearable.
19.) Grave
The granite is rough and cool beneath his fingertips, and Pietro is grateful for Evan's shoulder pressing against his in a silent offer of comfort.

Pietro glares at Lance and Kitty walking down the hall, giggling and holding hands, and feels a flash of jealousy; why can't he and Evan have that?

Evan trails his tongue down his chest and Pietro's mind shuts down.

Evan's words hurt so much more now, like one of his sharp, hollow spikes lodged into Pietro's heart.

They're facing each other and the fury flashing in Evan's eyes is scaring him to death, so Pietro listens to Lance in the background and attacks.

He knows, deep down, that it isn't true when Evan tells him everything will be okay, but he just pulls him close because right now, false hope is enough.

Evan is the reason Pietro wakes up in the morning.

Pietro knows he's the girl in the relationship when he and Evan drive around lost for an hour and a half because Evan refuses to stop and ask for directions.

They're cuddling on the couch, watching The Notebook (“Every gay guy has to watch it at least once, Evan!”), and Evan asks what it is with kissing in the rain; Pietro mutes the movie, the pitter patter of raindrops hitting the ceiling audible in the sudden silence, and giggles, dragging him outside.

There are so many thing Pietro regrets, but Evan will never be one of them.

Evan rings Pietro's doorbell, clutching the red roses in his hand nervously.

Once the novelty and romance of late night rendezvous and forbidden love had faded, Pietro and Evan realized just how much work keeping a relationship hidden really took.

Evan always wakes up to find Pietro coiled tightly around his body like a snake.

Pietro is painfully pale, his alabaster skin barely distinguishable from the falling snow, and Evan thinks it should make him look sickly, not angelic.

Evan swallows a chuckle as Pietro sneezes again, and mutters something less than appropriate about allergies under his breath.
