Lol it's 1:50 in the morning here and I'm still not sleepy. Therefore I am going to ramble in my journal in the hopes it will make me sleepy! :D

Considering that the current Bleach manga arc irritates me without fail every single week, I hope this movie can make me forget some negative feelings, or at least temporarily!
UPDATE: We--ell, finished the movie! SOLID fight scenes, especially, that was BEAUTIFUL animation. When Kenpachi busted out of ice mode, and started going nuts on the squid-hollow-thing... was really the climax imho. And who could forget all that KISUKE ACTION. <333 I've realized that I actually enjoy plots revolving around the *key* players of Gotei 13 (not the hordes of canon fodder in Seireitei, but, you know, the important guys) over the Ichigo aspect of the whole thing lol. Which is kinda sad considering he's the main character, but I'd much prefer seeing Kisuke/Yoroichi kicking up mayhem than him angsting. That's probably why I don't like him all too much; he's the definition of a shounen protagonist, with not too much to distinguish him. He's a regular highschooler who recieved a power up and does anything for his friends. Occassional angster, as well. Now, this is getting into a bit of an off-movie tangent so Ill stop but you know, compare Ichigo... to Luffy. Luffy's got many unique characteristics that override the standard

I've never been much of an Ichigo fan either. He's just kind of there to me; there's nothing interesting about him. :/ And to be honest, the majority of Bleach ever since the start of Hueco Mundo has bored me for the most part. There's just too much fighting without enough plot and character development. It's a shame; I think that Bleach started out with lots of potential, and it lived up to that potential until after the Soul Society arc. Then it kinda fell flat, at least for me. And now that Ulquiorra is dead and Urahara never appears, there's not much keeping me reading the series nowadays. I just read the spoilers every week and only read the chapter if something, anything interesting happens. Maybe I'll return to regularly reading the series once this blasted arc finally ends.
Kubo had something GOOD going before Hueco Mundo. But now, I think Bleach is heading towards its ultimate closure, and he doesn't want it to end, so he's trying to prolong it while at the same time trying to go out with a bang. I think he's lost sight of both objectives in the process. :/ Characters that were Bleach's saving grace like Ulquiorra are dead, and characters who I'd WANT to see in action are currently AWOL like Kenpachi and Kisuke. And you know what really irritated me, a couple of chapters ago, we were real close to seeing Ukitake and Kyoraku release their Bankai and actually SEE if they were as kickass fighters as Kubo's always dangled them in front of our nose. I really wanted to see their releases and how they fight. And riiiiight before they began, they'd even pulled out their weapons and were getting ready, circumstances quickly came and gobbled up the opportunity in a totally lame and killjoy way. So, no Ukitake/Kyoraku bankai action. I WAS SO TICKED OFF OVER THIS. For once in a very, very long time, I was
