Maria, as it turns out, is lazing...on the floor...in the living room with the windows open, dressed in a white slip and her stockings (one is slightly askew, lower than the other), sunning herself. Much like a cat, yes. She gets more and more ridiculous with each passing day. Her eyes are closed, but she's not asleep.

Since tracking her down is incredibly easy and takes less than moments, Aloysius has more than enough time left over to lean in the doorway and watch her there. After all, it's a very nice view. A beat or two, and then he clears his throat to announce himself, regardless of the fact she probably already knows he's there.

She stretches, catlike, limbs shuddering with the movement, and...doesn't get up. That can't come as much of a surprise, though. Maria does, however, open her eyes, watching Aloysius lazily.
"Mm. I was wondering when you'd say something."

"Eventually." He's quiet for a while longer after that, loose-limbed and comfortable against the doorframe. The parts of him that are always coiled are buried a little better today.
Eventually he moves, barefoot on the carpet. "Have you ever thought about eloping?"
