the ankle bone's connected to the... nothing

May 09, 2008 14:00

I recently discovered that I need to have surgery. I have an extra bone that presses up against my ankle bone on both feet, which is supposedly very normal, but in February 2007 I had a semi-on stage dance accident that separated the two bones on my right foot. Nothing was broken and I could walk after a couple of days, but walking/running/dancing ( Read more... )

That sounds pretty shitty.
I remember having a surgery and I was pretty much bed-ridden for three weeks.. and THAT drove me crazy.
4-8 weeks? that'd drive me nuts.

e.e; as for TV I don't really watch too much of it.. only specific shows so yeah some are -
1. Scrubs <3
2. Six feet Under (Dark humor and most of the time there is a sex scene in the episode. But it isnt like... a playboy show or anything.)

Im sure you've probably heard of futurama, family guy and the simpsons...

o_O You can always get addicted to Tila Tequilas Shot At Love 2.
I dont like reatly shows.. but for some reason im so into that one x_x.

As for the Wii goes, if you ever get bored of cooking mama, you can always go to the wii shopping channel and 'buy' the mii channel if you havent already (you dont need points to get it, it's free).
They have contests on there which could keep you occupied for a little.

first off, let me say that you and this comment are amazing!! i was so happy to get it, even though it took me ass long to respond.

a.) isn't dwight schrute in 6 feet under sometimes? i feel like i heard that somewhere. scrubs is hilarious, i like it because i feel like i don't need to know the entire storyline to enjoy it.
b.) i'm usually totally down for trashy tv, especially in the shame-free environment of my own house, but after rock of love 2 and the one with the italian guy from the first season of tila, i've decided to take a break from b-list celeb reality tv. unless scott baio gets 47 and divorced.
c.) i tried the wii contests and I LOVE THEM! best reccomendation yet. you rock.

Yes!! ^_^ Rainn ..*muffles his last name cause she doesnt know it* plays this dude Arthur in 6 feet under.
He moves in for a while.

It's so weird, cause my sister and I just were talking about how Dwight is so weird from The Office xD
I like imitating his voice..

And arent the wii contests awesome!?
x_x Sadly, I have a bad eye for who's going to win some categories haha.

^_^ & thank you.
You're pretty spiffeh yo'self for playing the wii.. *video game geek*

rainn wilson! he's spectacular. if you haven't seen him hosting snl, download it on itunes if ONLY for his monologue. or look for the japanese parody version of the office on nbc.com, it's hilarious.

i submitted a romeo and juliet for my first one, and i thought they looked spectacular! the ones that people make by manipulating the facial features to draw pictures on their faces... i want to learn to do THAT.

i've decided that crutches SUCK! they hurt like ass and never feel the right height. not to mention it's impossible to walk in them stoned.

Putting a hault on every day life sucks bad.

I don't usually watch TV, but I hear the "Heroes" series is good, and of course Scrubs.

A book you would probably like that I'd suggest is Killing Yourself to Live by Chuck Klostermann. Its 85% of a true story, but 100% amazing.

Maybe you could take this time, exercise and learn how to walk on your hands. That'd be pretty fuckin' awesome, lol.

i just commented to someone else who suggested scrubs, and i love it! plus seeing donald faison always reminds me of clueless, which is really happy.

i've actually read chuck klosterman, i got through sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs which was really just a collection of essays... some of which i thought were really far-fetched, cocky, and under-researched. but the one thing i'll give to him is that his written sense of humor had me in stitches the whole time, even if i didn't agree with him. i'd love to read something of his a little more polished, so i'll definitely check it out. thanks!

p.s. i set an unrealistic goal to do 500 sit-ups a day and drink 8 glasses of water, because i'd have nothing else better to do. turns out setting any goal during a time when you're extra-lazy and people will do things for you, is completely unrealistic itself. :-/

500 sit ups a day is a little strong to start out with. You're setting yourself up for disaster, heh. Maybe try like 20 or 50 in the morning and 50 at night?

I dunno. I always tell myself i'm going to go work out and do this and eat that and it never works out. I work all the time, and by the time I'm not working the first thing on my mind isn't working out.

I'm starting to think I am a tad-bit self-destructive.

i have these bursts of energy where i could run 6,000 laps if i wanted to... and then moments where i don't want to exert any more energy than the amount it takes to lift my bowl up to my face and light it. i'm not exactly built for routine, which REALLY bothers me because it's usually the only thing i crave.

guess we all are a little bit!
