Does anyone know what is actually going on? I'm sure this isn't a coincidence- I mean, we're in the middle of a war and all of a sudden everything in the castle stops working? It's bloody freezing up here and I'm wearing so many clothes that I can hardly move. I feel slightly like a snowman. Only without the snow, thank Merlin ( Read more... )

I don't think it's a coincidence either. Which means something nastier is probably coming our way.

Isn't there anything we can do? I feel really useless just sitting here and waiting for something worse to happen. I also don't feel like doing my homework.

What do you propose we do? We can't do anything unless we know what precisely is going on and so far all of the teachers are keeping mum.

Well, then, we should probably start by finding out what's going on, get it out of the teachers some how. Wasn't Harry going off to try to figure some things out or something? Has anyone talked to him?

Oh, goodness, Dean, don't talk about snow...

Have you been down to the common room? Have there been any fights yet?

I try not to go down there. The Slytherins clash horribly with our colour scheme.

That's very true, actually.

PARIS! Oh, it has like the best clothes!
Ohmigosh, what could be worse than being cold and in the dark?

Well, I wouldn't exactly be going for the clothes, but I'm you you could visit me, if you like. Then you can buy as many clothes as you want.

A lot of things...

Ohmigosh, really?!

And you know, you're right.
Like walking out wearing mistmatched clothes!

Really.

Sure. That's not exactly what I was thinking of, but sure.

Since I'm trying not to focus on how ungodly cold your common room is...

I don't suppose you've been to (or heard of?) any of the wizarding art galleries? There's a brilliant museum in southern France - Father took me to a showing once when I was young. I wouldn't mind going back sometime, if you wouldn't mind a traveling companion.

Wizarding art gallaries? No, I haven't heard of any. That does sound really interesting, actually. I'd love to go to one and see what they're like.

I'd like that. It might get a bit lonely, just wandering around by myself in a country where I don't speak the language. Do you speak French?

Father's side of the family originates in France and quite a few relatives still live there, so I speak the language well enough. It's been quite a while though.

You've never experienced art until you've been to a wizard gallery. I can't really even give you a description that would do it justice. I'll have to write Mother, I'm sure we have a book somewhere in the Library on all the European galleries.

You'll have to let me know when you decide to go -- it's not like I've got anything else to do after graduation. And the idea is certainly more appealing than... other options.
