today in music theory, we learned that Martin Luther King Jr. started his "I Have a Dream" speach in the key of B flat, then modulated to B natural to add emphasise.  twas kinda cool, not gonna lie ^_^

That's why they started calling it B. "B" is short for "black"... as in "a black-flat", or a "black-natural". Same thing with the keys on the piano... same thing.

To use it in a sentence "Yo, dat King he be kickin' in da black natural, word up!"
