See, I could believe the whole Rachel/Finn kiss even though it was super fast. Mainly because of Rachel's ADHD personality lol
But if there was PSA in the first half then I missed it. Probably because the boys werent standing in a circle singing feminism and then discussing it outright. And Mercedes didnt get the whole school to join hands and sing about inner beauty.
First half was more drama in my mind: the overall story arc with preggers Quinn being the main story and everything else being secondary. I just prefer shows where characters gradually learn about themselves and the world in a meaningful way. Not bursts of song uniting everyone lol
I didnt watch Popular so uhhh I didnt see this coming lol

My expectations were more geared toward a dark comedy (which is what they advertized it as) thats really tongue in cheek.
I know each episode has a message and the song is related to that message. So yes there are many episodes that have some subtle form of PSA. But the emphasis is on 'subtle' because only in the last two episodes were super cheesy to the point of being nauseating. They were also awkwardly and blatantly PSA
Of course this is all my opinion, I understand a lot of people still like the show in spite of my perceptions of it. But I really dont think the beginning of the series and the back nine are so far comparable in terms of quality.
