Terrific but painful story. Scary Mord-Siths. Still I am trying to see if something left of our beloved Cara. I hope you might want to continue this story. Can Cara overcome re-breaking or may be something will happen to a magic black agiel? And Kahlan will come back; she broke because she lost a hope, right? Right? At least after such an awful experience Kahlan will be not so eager to confess and kill Mord-Siths without doubt. Book!Richard gave them all freedom and asked everybody to treat them with respect. And I still don’t believe that the Wizard is dead- this old cockbloker is not very easy to assassinate. Thank you for the depressing but good fic. A reader.

lmao @ cockblocker comment. If anything ever made him a wizard of the first order it would have to be his magical cockblocking abilities. They have literally wiped people out of history for Pete's sake lol

I have noooooo idea where I want to take the sequel. I set this up in a really depressing AU (which really, is a world where everything reverts back to normal with Rahl in power once again.... at least the entire planet isnt tossed into the underworld lol).

I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the comment and the laugh :)

Amazing. This definitely showed the utter brutal-ness of the Mord-Sith. It was interesting seeing Cara be so rough with Dahlia, because, on the show, we more so saw the gentle-ness and seemingly deep, loving bond there...even when she was rebroken. And I loved reading the remnants of Cara's very human side...still there, even if usually distant. Everyone else pretty much said everything else for me, just like with your sequel (which, as you know, I accidentally read first).

Thanks for this story.

Wow, I'm so impressed by your "quick" work. It's neat that you used the re-broken Cara as the stepping point. I liked how you delved into Cara's character so that her actions and thoughts make sense in Mord'sith-y way.

Looking forward to the prequel/sequel/anything from this AUverse! I'm especially intrigued by how Kahlan would have been broken. Would Dahlia have exploited Kahlan's feelings for Cara? I really hope you continue to explore this AUverse you've created.

Im definitely leaning toward a prequel and carefully contemplating a sequel... I just lurve my Cara... making her down right irredeemable would break my heart :(

Im glad you enjoyed it and that I've made you curious :D

Kahlan breaking will be interesting to explore hehehe

*blush* Thanks :P

I too had been waiting for this threesome! I might find a really convoluted way to make this threesome happen in a less depressing way lmao (although, for LotS is there a time when events are not convoluted? lol)

Precious. This is evil, evil, disturbing fic. And probably one of the convincing ways that Cara/Dahlia/Kahlan would work. I particularly like the scene where Kahlan first enters the room. So unlike the Kahlan we know but torture and all sorts of practices would have reduced her to this. Ugh, and Dahlia taking Kahlan, breaking her before presenting her to Cara --I know it's evil but it appeals to me, knowing what Mord'Sith really are and how deeply they delve into the unknown and the dark.

This Cara I also like. She is just so sinister, claiming what she wishes and imposing herself so violently. I'm admire the fact that you didn't paint the Mord'Sith part of her kindly. You definitely wrenched me away from my comfort zone and I'm glad you explored that side of her and the consequences of Darken Rahl prevailing.

With all that, I am reminded that Cara is far more complicated than what most would make her out to be. Thank you for sharing this dark, wonderful fic and for taking me on an amazing yet uncomfortable ride. ;)

Good lord, you people and your compliments are going to kill me *blush* Thank you for the encouragement :)

I shall have to write a fluffy fic in the future. Prove to everyone I am capable of writing within their comfort zones heheh

I found the Mord-Sith to be the most interesting characters in the show. So much potential for horror yet painted in such a way that you can't help but feel some empathy. On the one hand they are sick, cruel creatures and on the other they are emotionally shattered little girls.

And I adore Cara (if it wasnt obvious from my fawning lol). Its why I hesitate to write a sequel. It would be dark.

That was two parts hawt, three parts massively fucked up. I love it! LOL. Your depiction of mord'sith love is the unromanticized ideal. And I say love because I do think that facet was evident. Both Dahlia and Cara are clearly affected. The addition of broken!enslaved!Kahlan just took everything to a different level. Foremost, K/C/D is the hottest threesome ever. Secondly, the web that you spun between them was so complex and engrossing. The power play extends past the breaking and the sex hitting somewhere so much deeper. I loved Cara's conflict over Kahlan. Again, there's this evident underlying love for Kahlan that Cara tries not to acknowledge. OTOH, there's this complete and utter contempt stemming from her rebroken mord'sith self. Cara's insistence that Kahlan isn't the "real" Kahlan is also indicative of said contempt. I think that statement extends beyond Kahlan's reprogramming. Cara thinks highly of Kahlan's skill, so to see that Kahlan allowed herself to be captured and broken befuddles and disappoints. It's a weakness that ( ... )

K/C/D is definitely the hottest threesome ever :D

I'm so glad you picked up on the disgust she felt for Kahlan in that moment. The problem is deciding whether it is because of Kahlan's weakness or because Kahlan was bound to Dahlia.

That and Cara's love... that's basically the emptiness she is trying to feel. The lost connection she had to her first real family since childhood. And everything else is a poor substitute. I figure that evil super Agiel had a variety of consequences they could have explored if the writers werent so short sighted lol

Mord-Sith love... is icky, as one reviewer said to me lmao

I just wanted to concur with the above comment.

and lines like this:
"She hated Kahlan with her body. Her conscious mind raged because Kahlan had been her humiliation.

But deep down another voice screamed in outrage. This Kahlan was an imposter. This Kahlan was false. Kahlan was dead. This thing had to die."

show how complex Cara's feelings are at the moment.
Basically, this is deep stuff. :)
