*cries for about ten minutes after reading it* Oh my gaaaaaawwwwwddd!!!! I cried for about ten minutes after reading it because it was so touching!!! It reminds me of my little guy, and because it's going to be hard to tell him why he doesn't have a Daddy like the rest of the kids, and why he had two mommy's for the first two years of his life... I'm not looking forward to that.

My favorite part that made me squeal so loud that I made my cat jump: When Momma spoke to her it was always softly and carefully like she was trying not to scare her.

I really would picture Cara doing that too. And I could also picture that it would take Cara a loooong time to warm up to a kid, because they're kinda frail and everything when they're newborn, but when they get older, they get cooler. I would imagine it would take Cara a good until the child was about 4 or 5 and able to talk before Cara would finally show some emotion like that.

Oh goodness you made my heart melt for the day *bows to you* I thank you for that.

I got myself teary eyed writing it! I felt so sad for Cara and for their daughter. In my mind, Cara would be petrified of her daughter because she never had a normal childhood and all she's ever known was pain...

I might do a companion peice in the future from the adult perspective if my muse strikes me.

I hope your heart to heart with your son goes better than you fear :)

I second the idea of you doing a companion piece to it. If your muse strikes you :) Muses kind of do whatever the F they want, don't they? Haha

*deep intake of a sigh* Hopefully is all I can say. Gotta wait and cross that bridge when we get to it. He's my little man and the only man for me.

I already have an idea for the companion peice but I dont want to get too ahead of myself. I dont want to go further than one chapter but my muse loses her mind sometimes lol Muses really do whatever the F they want.

I'm sure he'll grow to understand. Heck, I think there are pamphlets and things to help you out. I can try and find some info for you if you like, to appease your worries.

Cara is awesome. I found it so weird to be sniffling over the fic I was writing lol And yes, I flailed when the little girl finally got to play with Momma's hair till she fell asleep in Cara's arms.

Oh my God. I'm crying, you made me cry like a little baby. It's so beautiful, sweet, moving.

Momma liked to stare at her. She loved Momma’s eyes. They were green. This clear, cold green that was pretty and strong. So a lot of the time she wanted to stare back but was too shy.

Momma’s hair was beautiful too; shiny like the lake and yellow like honey. It looked soft, softer than her kitten Sebastian.

And she even liked Momma’s strange leather clothes because even though Momma was always working and not really cuddly, whenever she lay on her favourite leather couch she felt like Momma was there. Momma always smelled like leather.

*bawl*
