I can't recommend both games enough, seriously. With, I suppose, the caveat that they are very, very close to interactive novels; the gameplay is very...understated.

Hotel Dusk is so damn refreshing in that respect. I mean, I love the implausible "6 teenagers saving the world" whirlwind drama of RPG plots as much as the next person, but it's bizarrely satisfying to get to play characters' downtime as well as their go-go-go times.
