We asked the middle schoolers that are part of the U-17 players!
Who do you think of as strong servers?
Which players are acknowledged for their serves that are vital in matches? We tried asking the middle school players about them. From the similarities between the players whose names are nominated, we will draw closer to the secret behind serving.
Inspection 1: Height is beneficial for speed serves!?
A tall figure is beneficial for big serves. This is the reality that leaves no room for confusion. We asked two players who have the height to verify it.
Ootori Choutarou/185 cm
"If you have a large build, your hands and legs are long too, and the speed of your swing also goes up. I am thankful for my height."
Inui Sadaharu/184 cm
"You are able to hit the ball in a straight line at a high point. In theory, at least..."
Inspection 2: An abundance of stamina is the key to power serves!?
In order to continuously hit big serves during a match, stamina is necessary after all. Practices of course, require a certain level of endurance, right? We followed the actions of 2 players.
[Momoshiro (eating a hamburger): This isn't enough. It's not enough.]
Momoshiro (Seigaku) has, in any case, a healthy apetite. After he eats his bento at lunch, he runs to the store.
[Tanishi with yakiniku]
Tanishi (HIga) is also astounding in the ways of food. Is meat the source of his power and stamina?
Attacking these servers directly!
Sengoku Kiyosumi-kun
Sengoku: Height? Hm, I think it doesn't matter? In my case.
Q: How did you develop the serve?
A: Hm, let's see. For me, I'm not all that tall. So I guess I thought to jump?
Q: What's important in serving?
A: I guess body balance. Because I have to jump high. After that, luck is also important too!
Q: Do you have ideas for a new serve?
A: "New * Kouhou!" Just kidding~, if I were able to come up with something just like that, I'd have no worries~! But, if something comes up during the training camp...yeah.
Chitose Senri-kun
Chitose: "Kamikakushi" is just right for measuring an opponent's strengths.
Q: How did you develop the serve?
A: From the trajectory of the friction across the racket...I can't explain this. Can you include a photo in the article?
Q: What's important in serving?
A: Of course, sufficient practice is important. Next is your spirit! Your faith that your serve will definitely go in!!
Q: Do you have ideas for a new serve?
A: Right now, I'm engrossed with "muga." Regarding serves, "Kamikakushi" will continue to be on active duty!
Special Talk
The role of serves in a match
Members: Inui Sadaharu/Ootori Choutarou/Sengoku Kiyosumi/Tanishi Kei
Inui: Serves is the only closed skill in tennis. That allows for hidden chances.
Ootori: It's true that serves play a big part in creating the flow or changing the flow.
Inui: However! "Zero-shiki" is cheating!
Tanishi: I hate the "Habu." Guys should battle with power.
Inui: That's correct.
Ootori: Is this a complaining session? Sengoku-san...
Sengoku: I think it happens a lot~, having someone in the same year who has overpowering strength. I can hear you out right now?
Ootori: Haha...that's true...

The next edition will focus on volleyers!
-----
Words for the two: I've always thought this, that Sanada's tension is high right from the morning. Then during practice, his voice is way too loud. (Niou)
Words for the two: That Atobe, his helicopter and his tennis court...he has way too many openings for tsukkomi! (Hitouji)
