fave 5 manips

tamakin  posted 5 of her favorite works, I thought I might as well, too.
Rather than pick five of my favorite manips, I allowed the very wise and needing to waste time c_woodhaven  to narrow the field for me.
*big hugs*

Wow. One of my old ones. Young Dawn is carefree in the bright, sunny tropics, but even there Spike lurks in the shadows to keep an eye on her.
I remember some people thinking maybe Spie had been turned into a parrot.

A recent one. Captain Jack Harkness. A photo Ianto perhaps found in the Torchwood archicves.
Simple head swap, really.

Another older one. I like the collage feel of this. It also has three manips within a manip.

This is part of a series of "comic book" covers I started making. c_woodhaven  started writing little "blurbs" to go with the images. We sparked off one another and wound up with quite a few. They can all be found HERE.
I like Caleb's "timeless" attitude.  I started with a base of a rock and roll star. He was standing in front of a huge aloe plant. I added the feathers in his hat to tie into the story arc. I found an antique postcard of the church on line. I layered on the fire and the paper textures, and added the words. Each "Missing Heroes" cover has a word on it. I like how Condemned works for both Caleb and the old church.

Another "Missing Heroes"
Gunn as a vampire. I copied and moved bits of forehead until I got the wrinklies I liked. Of course, he has to have the amber eyes of a proper vamp. His word for the far future world? Biohazard.
