He'd recently had a case that hinged upon the detail that the mint was missing from a high class hotel bed. The recent study of pillowcase textures and the gripping ability of the mint wrappers was still fresh in his mind. He wanted to see the relation between high count sheets and cheap takeaway mints.

I love this. The idea of Sherlock getting this fancy bed up the stairs to John's room SECRETLY is very appealing.

He used his connections at the dock to get reliable men to pick it up and deliver it. Otherwise you know how it is, the thing wouldn't show up for a week. The he used his great brain to put everything back EXACTLY as it was downstairs so John would not notice anything. :)

I don't think John's going to be happy when he realizes Sherlock not only transferred his clothing to the new dresser, he reorganized it.

I wanted a movie that John would like but Sherlock would dismiss. Very few folks do not like Toy Story.
