I really, really enjoyed this. You did a great job of capturing the chemistry between Jane and Maura. There were many great lines, but this:

The evening is surprisingly routine-- In fact, Jane has the fleeting theory that they’ve been dating for months and she’s just now catching on.

Really sums them up perfectly! Well done. :-)
