So yeah, I had my cat cremated. When revealing this to people, I’ve gotten back a wide variety of responses. They range from full & total acceptance, along the lines of “What else would you possibly do with your dead friend?” to arched eyebrows & blank stares, as if I’m doing something as crazy & frivolous as having the cat stuffed & mounted
