apocalypse on the brain

This happened Sunday.

I had just finished reading PKD's The Divine Invasion, and was walking out at night with a tripod and camera in order to work on my photography project, which is to relate the story of a post-apocalyptic America in which the dollar has devalued and the US population is concentrated in giant metropolises centered around ( Read more... )

Fascinating.

Once upon a time, I was returning to my dorm after studying at the library, circa midnight, when I was accosted by a middle-aged woman in pajamas. Her hair was frazzled, and she wielded a flashlight.

She told me that she was having chest pains, so I asked her if she wanted to be taken to the ER, and she replied that she wanted to go to the parking lot of a nearby grocery store.

The conversation waxed profoundly strange until she suddenly turned around and walked into the nearest building.

I hope she didn't frighten any janitors. In retrospect, I think she was schizophrenic. Many homeless people are.

no, but that's an interesting observation. I think the nation is more intimidating, though.
