It does NOT need to be running but would nice and would make much easier to transport.

dead on, except yah, too "new" only in the price! what i'm doing is bullding an electric car so i'll be gutting the motor and everything else i don't need. the reason i picked that car is the roof is the closet thing to flat that is also on a tiny car which will be the easiest to accomidate the array of solar panels.

i really appreciate the help though!
