Sounds like a really interesting book, hon. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it before (if only from being in the Sci Fi book club), all things considered. Huh. I wonder if folks think it's too dark to be mainstream, or something . . . Sounds more realistic than dark, to me.

Ahh, brand new. That explains it. Unless it's in a series or by a really well known author, it usually takes a while for the Sci Fi book club to get the brand new books.

Huh. It strikes me that this is the kind of book that Rowling maybe wanted the HP series to be but wasn't brave enough to do.
