So, I noticed this wee insect crawling around my watercolor cups, and let out the most pitiful wail my vocal chords have ever made.  Usually I'm not very scared by bugs (and lately, I have been really excited to KILL THEM ALL), and after my 30 second bout of total squeamishness, I smushed it with a paper towel ( Read more... )

Urgh. My place was recently fumigated for cockroaches. Since then I think I've been seeing MORE of them around.
When I do catch them I crush them inside a tissue and flush it down the john.

That's smart. The last time I saw a cockroach, I swear it was like MORTAL KOMBAT OR SOMETHING, like we circled each other, and then I eventually ran out of my room and asked my parents to kill it.

One time I found a HUGE daddy cockroach walking up the bedroom wall and had a flashback to the scene in Bubba Ho-Tep where Elvis fights an undead scarab thinking it's a cockroach. I told my cat afterwards that it was 'the size of a peanut butter and banana sandwich' but she doesn't watch the right movies so she remained unimpressed.

CLINGS.

And worse, you know if it's a roach you probably do have this problem. ; _ ;

If I was there I would protect you! Bugs don't bother me.

I don't really know if it was a roach, because it was really little. And I haven't seen any since, for which I'm seriously thankful.

I WISH YOU WERE HERE TO PROTECT ME, TOO!

If it was a baby roach, a NYMPH, it wouldn't look like one in colouration. They are much lighter, sometimes white even. If that helps and doesn't just make everything grosser!

It didn't look white.

OMG, this is so fail because I had to dissect cockroaches last semester for biology, and I AM FAILING AT APPLICATION.

ICK. Can you call someone to spray for bugs?

I don't want to panic and assume it was a cockroach (because I always assume the worst), so I'm going to wait and see if any others crop up.

AND IF THAT HAPPENS...I'm going to call someone to spray them for me.

OH GOD. Ok, maybe it was a midget cockroach that had been rejected from it's colony and ended up in your room. But now it's dead and you will never see another one again.
