Finding this very late on lacklusterfic's recommendation. It is very lovely. I especially like "Sometimes you just need to bring the person to the well. Let them take it themselves." Water is such a powerful symbol for Laura in the show and you deploy it here so well. I also love the funny part about the salute. Can't wait to read more!
