Oh man, this may have gotten a little more plotty than some of your recent fics, but it was fantastic. I absolutely adore the way you can work River into every single episode. The way you do is so flawless that it's actually become my headcanon. A lot of your fics even manage to explain why some things happen, for example, why the Doctor was thrown in the tower and why he's dressed the way he is. It's awesome.

And did I mention the smut? With you, I like how it's never just the same, simple positions a lot of authors tend to stick to (that gets boring after a while). You manage to roam and get some variation in there.

Also, this is one of the best fics I've read where some form of restraint was used on the Doctor. So, props to you. :)

Haha I complain about plottyness when writing but I secretly love them more than all the rest always. It's just they make my brain weep during the writing process lol.

I try really hard to avoid the same old same old with smut. It's like a long term relationship, it loses feeling if you do the same thing over and over ;)

And jkashdjahsdjsad clearly you have not read Like a River or Living Legend because they are FANTASTIC restrained Doctor fics.

Where should I begin?
I love (and please know that the word "love" doesn't even scratch the surface of the real meaning) the scene in his cell. I always thought about how poetic and tragic the fact that they couldn't touch was such a fundametal part of River's solution. But regarding the sexyness... girl you take everything to a new level, don't you?
And then, when I think that we had enough, I mean, I couldn't possibly ask for more, could I? But then again, I don't really have to. It's already there.
They met and it's beyond wonderful. You turn the mating into a sensual dance of words and images and it's visual and poetic and HOT. (I specifically like the bit where River "looks back over her shoulder with a flirtatious smile". I mean, in my opinion that's the most in character line I've ever read!)
And then, the end.
The secrets they share. And so much love you can almost choke with it. Not that I'm one to complain - never!
This one is definitely going under de favorites' pile.

Aww thank you honey - I'm super glad you liked it :) The scene in his cell actually kick started the whole thing in my brain. Because you know, she clearly knows nothing about fixed points on the beach, yet when he shoes up at the pyramid she's all 'I know what happens if we touch' and my brain was like 'yeah but how did she know? BECAUSE SHE TOUCHED HIM.' and then this exploded out.
