I'm feeling the same kind of excitement about the Scribblit project, but I think there is plenty of room on the web for more than one volunteer-run, fan-friendly journaling and creative writing / multimedia site.

and the article is fairly sensible, though it focuses mainly on HP but also mentions ljs inability to deal with their customers. So far most of the comments are positive. :D

Just letting you know (and twocorpses, pond, and whoever else is involved) that I would be willing to help out as much as I can. I'm unfamiliar with back-end coding (which is what you need... I'm more of a front-end person, but am not a professional by any means) but am decent at PhotoShop and such (I do catalog and magazine work at the moment.) I'm not the most adept at InDesign or PhotoShop but if you need me, feel free to ping me.

I think what you're doing is fantastic. I don't have any programming or web design knowledge but I've got a really good grasp on English (so I've been told...), I'm fantastic at throwing things together, I'm pretty good at advertising, and I've run countless communities (as well as moderated on a lot of websites). So by that point, if you need someone, gimme a buzz.

You've got my full support on this.
