I was looking at information about the University of Canterbury and came across their Quake Recovery Facebook page. That and an article on smh.com.au gave some interesting facts:

The death toll is up to 166.
They had a 4.8 aftershock on Friday and a 4.1 one today.

It is a horrifying mess, and the aftershocks keep coming. Nasty fault line that.
