He smiled as he slipped out of the shadows. The camp was silent and asleep, the only ones stirring were the sentries, those who watched the fire, and those that didn't sleep. They were wary of the dangers of this fantastic island, too grim sometimes.

She looked at his shirt, at the collar, and willed it into flame... except it didn't.
When he spoke and disappeared, she blinked and slid her glasses on. Making things appear? She could do fire, but....
Her hand closed on a book. Some kind of silly romance, smelling of smoke and in a ragged condition. She absently put it with the other books.
And then she tried to go back to sleep, her little 'torch' still lit as a sort of safety light.

"Right in one. He got through the guards and was taunting us. He went into the jungle. I almost followed him, but had no desire to be eaten."
She paused for him to walk beside her. "Daniel has to know. I don't know what his game was, but he was no friend to us."
Oona held the knife tightly in a white knuckled grip. That was anger, for in a fight the knife would be held more loosely.
I'm trusting to much. I slept soundly enough he was right on top of me. He could have slit my throat in my sleep and I wouldn't know what killed me. I never had anyone sneak up on me like that before. I'm losing more than practice here. I'm losing my edge. Even after all that has happened."
Her anger was self directed now.

He looked up and got a brief glimpse of a teenager of asian descent grinning at him. The red-shirted teenager grinned at him just before vanishing.
The teen looked vaguely familiar, and Chris wondered why.
Making sure the others were asleep, he crept out and headed towards ths fire. He saw Oona and Adam Pierson walking toward Danel's tent, looking unhappy.
"Did you just have a mystery asian teenager in your tent?" he asked as he walked up to them.
