[Miho] Even dragons get hungover.tweetsFebruary 2 2008, 17:44:53 UTC
Miho winced, drawing in a shuddering breath as she slowly awakened.
The breeze caressed her arms and it was a blessed relief, but the sound of voices actually HURT.
Miho had never imbibed enough that she became utterly incapacitated, but she assumed that must have happened. She rolled over, then hastily pulled her blouse closed. She glanced around guiltily, then shot a grin to Sam as she fastened her blouse. "Morning, Sam..." she said quietly. Afterall, every word sounded like a trumpet blare right now.
Frank just smirked and shook his head. He had remarkable powers of recovery, that much was certain... or at least he could fake it really well, "Damn, I feel cheated. I only got a hangover."
Frank managed to pull himself up into a seated position, though it was a painful proposition that caused him to mutter under his breath, "No pain, no gain."
Frank's sigh grew even louder when Miho pulled her blouse closed, and once again he muttered under his breath, "I need to get laid."
Miho's voice prompted Sam to whip around to face her, which was a supremely bad idea. By the time the world stopped spinning and the wave of nausea had passed the beautiful half-dragon had pulled her blouse closed. "Good morning, Miho," Sam murmured, returning the grin self-consciously. He wasn't sure what had happened between them. He remembered drinking, of course, and dancing, hands wandering, and moving away from the dance floor to spar...
"Damn, I feel cheated," Frank stated. "I only got a hangover." Sam gave him a wan smile. Frank's commentary wasn't helping his hangover or his memory. Thankfully Miho didn't seem upset with him.
"Water," Sam said in a near-whisper. His companions looked at him curiously. "We're dehydrated. Need water." Sam slowly got his feet beneath him to start his quest for water. As he did so the scratches on his chest twinged, and sunlight glanced off of a button on Miho's blouse.
Moonlight rippled across the mother-of-pearl button that defied Sam's alcohol-impaired
