As far as Emily's storyline goes I think I care more about what it seems it will mean in the end. Though I admit I love the spooky bits because I'm wired that way.
I know just enough about autism for certain things to be a bit off to me but I'm able to easily handwave it.
I also thought Rossi was great in this episode and I think I kind of fell in love with Reid all over again. Which I really didn't want to do, damn it. And Hotch and Jack's scenes also make me unreasonably warm and fuzzy.
I don't watch Suspect Behavior because it's on the same time as Justified and because it carries the same inherent problems for the that CM does without the characters to charm me in.
I continue to wish that they would stay away from Very Special Episodes and stick to stories about people eating their neighbors. It's just not a format that can handle Dealing with Issues very well. But still, I liked the episode. It was very moving. And I'm very easy, so any appearance of Hotch and Jack will make everything better for me
( ... )
Yeah, pretty much that exactly. All of it, down to the squee at the kitty and 'could they please give us something that involves the rest of the cast and the show itself? Seriously?"
I too honestly couldn't care less about Emily's arc. They're trying to shove it into the A plot of each episode, and it's coming off really clumsily.
Dave is, as ever, My Dave, and I love him. I was bouncing when I saw the aunt ("OMG HI CAROL HUDSON!") and then she was having lots of interaction with Rossi, so she was even better. That line immediately stood out to me because seriously, we know he doesn't have kids, it's so intensely personal that it HAS to have involved him. My reaction was the same - so, when was it that your dad found out you were not-precisely straight?
Also, MORGAN AND GARCIA and her hopeful little popcorn-and-movies invitation! HOTCH AND JACK! <3 ROSSI AND SEAVER PLAYING VIDEO GAMES TOGETHER! (Seriously, those two give me such a father-daughter vibe, I can't even tell you.)
