Good evening, everyone, this is Principal Winchester. I want to thank Dan and Wallace for being here when I should have been on Friday - I had a situation with a vomiting toddler that I can guarantee not even her own father wants to hear about, so let's spare the details and just get on with the notes, shall we?
School Notes
I didn't think there would be any of these tonight, but I forgot about the
library, where the books were apparently singing to Jono as he shelved them.
William was doing research, and
Scully was working on her Russian when Rosalind came over to talk about watching Jono's strong work ethic. I'm not sure why she was watching him, but I hope he knows about it.
Scully and Faramir talked about their future plans - his job as a ranger, and her job in forensics.
Sherlock and John came in to look for books, as one usually does in a library, but they got waylaid by Raven, who was smug at Sherlock and insisted that he and John are dating. I believe that's their own business and no one else's, thank you.
Henry talked to Jono about the current singing book situation and those [microphone feedback] onions that were everywhere yesterday, and
Raven stopped by the library to "shamelessly" flirt with Jono, get information about the Glee Club, and invite Jono to London.
Faramir talked to Jono about modern music,
Rosalind talked to Jono about the singing books and terrible books about fairies,
William asked Jono for help in finding books on werewolves, and
Scully asked Jono for help in finding audiobooks for Russian, and books about breaking curses. I don't think I like the sound of that last one, but I'll let it slide for now.
Dorm News
Percy was reading a magazine in his room when
Nico came by to tell him that he's been having nightmares about Parents' Weekend. Honestly, it isn't always traumatizing for everyone. It might be a much better experience than you boys are expecting.
Luke also stopped by, and apologized for fighting with Percy before they got to talking about a friend from home.
Claudia was working on a project in her room when Jacob came by and, after some initial awkwardness, asked her out. Awwww, those are the kinds of notes I like to see.
Ino was playing with her phone in her room when she got a call from Hurley, and when
Zack came by to check on her, she told him all about what was going on with Hurley. Something that can be easily fixed, I hope.
Cara was training in the salle this morning, quite hard it looks like.
Clark came in to watch her, even as he questioned whether or not it would be safe to do so, and he eventually got her to tell him that she was upset about the onions from yesterday.
Bobby McCallister also threw caution to the wind and went in, wanting to know if she was doing karate, and he tried to touch her agiels before being informed that that would be a Very Bad Idea.
Proto had the makings for s'mores in the fourth floor common room, without the fire since he wasn't making one in the dorm, thankfully.
Kurt talked to Proto about the summer, and how they both miss it, and then showed Proto how to make s'mores in the microwave.
Bobby Drake hoped Kurt was sharing the popcorn he'd also made, and they talked about who would or wouldn't be coming for them for Parents' Weekend, and when Bobby saw that
Proto was making s'mores, he negotiated a deal to trade s'mores fixings for ice cream.
Squall was on the roof of the dorm, listening very carefully to what was going on below.
Ino asked him what he was doing, and he insisted that he wasn't doing anything, which she didn't really believe, and
Ariel asked Squall if he thought it was going to rain. He said no, and they ended up talking about the onions from yesterday too.
Town News
The Boards was open for tryouts today -
Jack Sparrow,
Elphaba,
Sara Stanley, and
Rinoa all auditioned, and
Triela insisted that she was a good actress, until she got a monologue to read that involved emotion.
Robin came to audition, and had to inform Genesis that his frogness isn't an affliction to be cured, and
Reno came by to find out what Genesis is doing in town with the Boards and all.
Biff was at
Wellspring Arms, looking up what to do with pounds of chopped onions, Blysse and Blind Seer were having onion soup at
The Gig - well, Blysse was, anyway - and Stark Industries has become
Fixer-Uppers, complete with a new, blinding sign.
Ellie was enjoying the nurses' gossip at
the clinic, and when John went to
Caritas, he found out that Jessi has left town for good.
Jaina came in to Caritas as well, and she and John traded information about Jessi, thinking she might have gone off with Dimitri, who came back to town.
And those are all the notes I have for tonight. Have a good night, everyone, and try to stay out of trouble this week. My sanity thanks you.
