::final flist check before bed::

You, your beautiful Draco icon, and your intriguing fic now have an author tag; sorry we missed generating yours at prompt claiming!

I will be reading as soon as I possible can! This looks great.

Oh, gosh, TWO edits! Must sleep!

A second entry from you! Wonderful!

I really like the development of Lucius over the time and the change in his and Draco's relationship post war. Amazing what perspective a little time in Azkaban with everything stripped away can give someone.

Great!

This is a really wonderful tale (in a very sad way...). The change Lucius has to force in himself as he sits in jail and the world outside rushes by grabbing hold of his wife and son, is really poignant. How he too has to compromise, as he advices his son to do.

You show very well the changing relationship and the dynamic between father and son turned on its head. I really enjoyed reading his.

Thank you for sharing!

Lucius has become a realist in his old age I think. And I do believe, sadly, that Draco didn't quite learn his lesson the first time through.
Thank you for reading and commenting :)

Oh, I adore this! There are so many great lines I ought to point out, but it'd be far to time consuming to do that, so just know that you have many zingers here, especially at the end during Draco's and Lucius' exchange. That bit about 'rightful' and 'right' is well played!

The theme of power is strong in this portrait of the Malfoy's, or should I say the destruction power brings, and Lucius' acknowledgment that no foundation is secure despite all authoritative appearance touches me because it's a revelation all the purebred wizards and witches had to make after centuries of greed and hate. The oppressive restrictions Death Eaters fought for represented a form of wizard apartheid, and the blacklash against the Malfoys -- the paragon of pureblood London wizards -- is extremely fitting after Voldemort's defeat.

This is an elegant story that achieves a broader story told through the Malfoy's destruction, and exactly the style of genfic that demands attention. Thank you so much for contributing to the community!

Thank you so much. The one thing I always want to do is allude to much more going on outside the scope of whatever little story I'm telling so I'm really glad that comes across :)
