Please don't ask what Gabrielle had threatened Emmett with that had him acting fairly subdued; it had nothing at all to do with her pulling rank as an Amazon princess.
Nothing at all.
Whatever she'd done, it had evidently taken a lot out of their prep time, because there wasn't much to the setup today besides the A/V equipment at the front of the room, an assortment of snacks and drinks, and Gabrielle gripping a flagpole white-knuckled in one hand as she kept an eye on Emmett.
"It's still summer, so we're still taking it easy," she told them, "so it's movie time again. We're considering the possibility of a field trip or two, though and we're open to recommendations or suggestions you might have. We have a lot of locations to pick from between everybody's worlds."
When everyone was settled in suitably, she popped the DVD into the player and hit play on Robert/Roberta. Anything that was a musical sounded like fun, and the main character was . . . oddly fascinating.
