Cupcake War Crimes, Week 2 [Tuesday, Period 1]

May 16, 2011 22:44

Once again the Home Ec classroom was looking very Home Ec-y with cupcake supplies taking up most of the available counter space at the workstations. And once again the two unlikely alien boys were at the front of the room ready to teach. Or at least wax poetic about cupcakes.

Well, they would wax poetic about most cupcakes. Not about meat-filled ones. )

If what these two do can really be called lecturing.

Raven still wasn't sure how she'd ended up in this class. She was sure, however, that Professor Stark and Professor Anders were finding these cupcakes in a hell dimension.

Alex looked horrified at the cupcakes, trying and failing to imagine what that might taste like.

And no, he really did not want to find out.

It was a cupcake. With pork.

Sam was totally going to fail this class, because she personally thought that was an awesome idea.

Cupcakes or Sandwiches? [CWC 5/17] banikslaveboy May 17 2011, 02:48:46 UTC
Or are they simply abominations?

"I have no problem with pork on its own, but it does not belong in a cupcake," said Lion-o. "As for the corn... well, I'm not sure."

"Those are just wrong," Alex declared. "Wrong."

They looked so wrong, and yet... "I'm still tempted."

It took a lot to put Chuck off his food, it really did.

Bake! [CWC, 5/17] banikslaveboy May 17 2011, 02:50:01 UTC
The alien boys have helpfully left you a basic cupcake recipe along with some common ingredients. They’ve also left you pulled pork, turkey, and of course some sushi-grade tuna. You’re not really going to put that in, are you?

Raven was going nowhere near the pork, turkey, or tuna, of course.

She was making an effort to follow the directions closely. She'd learned the hard way with Karla that improvisation was not good for cooking.

Having spent a lot of time in the kitchen at Café Fina, Lion-o had no problem with a basic cupcake recipe. He also took some tuna as he gathered up his ingredients, but that was for snacking on while the cupcakes were in the oven.

Alex was going to attempt to make some ordinary cupcakes (no meat products, thank you very much), but he didn't have much previous baking experience--some box mixes, and he'd even managed to screw those up a time or two. So he was being very careful to follow the directions, and even then he spent the entire time hoping he was doing this right.

How he managed to get batter on his forehead was anyone's guess.

In their respective threads after they ping in, of course

Stark was really hoping you weren't going to put any of the meat items in your cupcakes. Really, really hoping.

Anders was just going to swipe some of the turkey, actually -- purely in the interest of discouraging people from using it. Or just being hungry. Shh.
