Lucrezia stood before everyone, showing her completed ensemble.
"This dress is similar to one I wore to my brother's wedding," Lucrezia explained. "The color matches my eyes, while complementing my skin. The style is ornate but not ostentatious; it is elegant, but does not draw undue attention to itself. In this dress, I am beautiful, while also respectable, not necessarily a simple object of desire."
She did not think to add that it was a dress that conveyed her wealth; that seemed so obvious as to be beyond pointing out.
"I chose against risking a more modern ensemble," she added. "I do not know the social rules of modern clothing, and feared making a crucial misstep."

Tyrion glanced down at himself -- he hadn't adapted to modern clothing either, unless what he wore to go out of his head and climb a tree counted. "A wise choice, I'd think," he said. "Though for homework, I'd like for you to talk to one of your classmates about putting together a simple modern outfit that will make a similar impression. I'll even do the same."

"I will," Lucrezia said, wondering if her arrangement with Jocelyn would count for the purposes of this assignment. Barring that, Bruce might have some ideas of where to start. "Should I wear it for next week's class, or arrange to come to your office?"

"Next week's class is fine, since my office hours are tomorrow," Tyrion said. "I don't expect you to be able to put together something to your liking quite that quickly."

"I shall do that, then," Lucrezia beamed. It would presumably be a very modest take on modern clothing, but she had faith that she could find something that would not feel too much like walking around undressed. "And you may tell me how very much I am changed, when not dressed thus."
