Class was handwavily notified that their first session was to be held on the rocky bits of Fandom Island. Upon arrival, they would find that someone had set up some precarious looking -- but surprisingly sturdy -- picnic tables amongst the rocks, and covered said tables with paints and glue and bags of googly eyes and pipe cleaners ( Read more... )

Paint rocks locointhecoco July 1 2014, 13:43:38 UTC
You're actually doing the activity before introductions. This class is so avant garde!

Painting was something Nathan could do and do pretty well. He didn't actually know what to paint on the rocks so he just went for a few abstract designs.

Rapunzel took to this particular activity like a moth to a flame, or like a girl with minimal childhood companionship to the idea of personifying an object.

One of the two.

Either way, by the time she was done, Rapunzel's rock had googly eyes, a bright smile, and a wash of pastel colors that faded into a sort of swirling design on its surface. She was pretty proud of it.

(Pascal, on the other hand, seemed jealous.)

Barry's rock was a dark tan with googly eyes and appeared to have an afro. The mouth of the rock appeared to have a tongue hanging out. He also fashioned arms and hands out of pipe cleaners with the hands forming a simulated "Fist of Rock".

Introduce yourselves locointhecoco July 1 2014, 13:47:18 UTC
"I'll go first!" Pinkie said. "I'm Pinkie Pie, like I said before, and I've been a teacher at Fandom now for -- omigosh, years and years and years! It's so much fun! And this," she held up a purple painted rock with a teeny tiny gray rock painted on what was presumably its flank. The rock was wearing a tiny silver party hat. "Is Rochelle! Say hi to everypony, Rochelle! . . . I said say 'hi!' . . . SAY HI!"

The rock said nothing. Pinkie smiled as though it did, though, and pointed to one of the students. "Now you!"

Derek would introduce himself or not, as he pleased. You could bet any rock he might pick would end the day covered in glitter, though. Rainbow glitter. With extra large googly eyes.

Let's be real, Derek was be glittered the moment he agreed to teach with Pinkie again.

He sighed at the whole talking to random people thing. "I'm Derek, your other teacher."

Who had a googly eye glued to his stubble. He didn't know how or when that happened.

"I'm not painting a rock friend. But you all have to."

"It's alright, he already had a pet," Pinkie assured the class, who were clearly very worried about Derek's faithful companion situation. "His name's Puppy Joe, and he's the jealous type." This last was meant to be whispered. And it was. Extremely loudly.

Derek sighed again. Because... well it was true. That dog had attempted to terrorize both Isaac and a pair of wolf slippers because if it.

And the other teacher would listen to you with creepy intensity. Or because he was desperately hoping you'd leave.

I have apparently lost the ability to spell "teacher" on the first try. Pinkie keeps trying to be a "teater".
