"Welcome to our last class," Hannibal said as the students gathered. "Today we'll be combining several elements of our previous trips - impressive topography, native culture, islands, and impressive lights."
"There's gonna be a lot more fire, though," Kanan observed. "I don't think we've done very much with fire yet this semester at all."
Which, really, was probably for the best.
Very likely. Especially with Fandom involved.
"Today we'll be staying within the same country our island is nominally in whatever idiots in the government think, and going as far west as it is possible to. Hawai'i."
"Apparently," Kanan noted, "this planet is a hotbed for volcanic activity, right along with everything else."
Pun possibly intended. Probably not. Either way, he was probably about to slip into another 'cute' tangent.
"Seriously, one of these days I'll think up something Earth doesn't have. It's like the planet is overcompensating for being so small and alone out here and it's kind of cute."
See? He had to work it in somehow.
Volcanoes were not cute, Kanan. Volcanoes were how planets worked.
"By that logic, Hawai'i is compensating for quite a bit," Hannibal noted. "But it's lovely and intriguing. We'll be visiting the
Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The volcanoes are quite active, and there are both hiking and road tours. For those who prefer their fun indoors, there is also a museum."
Volcanoes were how cute planets worked.
And Mustafar.
"Same rules as anywhere else apply," Kanan added. "If you're on one of the guided tours, listen to your guide. Respect the wildlife if you're in an area that has that instead of fire." A pause. "Respect the fire, too."
Don't get dead.
"Please," Hannibal added. He didn't fancy the paperwork. "Also, for those of you that may want to stay and take the later portal back," he didn't anticipate many the day of prom, but you never knew, "be aware that as this is a tropical island, it will almost always rain in the afternoon." He was (politely) looking at you, Ada. "You will probably want to be indoors or have an umbrella."
