Field Trip Time, Fandom Style.

So, finals are around the corner. Visions of lazy hours on the beach dance in the sleeping minds of Fandom students, while teachers relish the idea of a time without a syllabus.

Ghanima thinks you're funny.

From 30 June - 1 July, she'll be leading a trip to her home planet, to give her Terrain students a chance to get hands-on like they'd never experience in the Danger Shop. That's right, we're going to Dune for a day, and we're riding the worms.

Rather than limit herself to breaking the brains of her darling protégés, however, she's opened this trip up to all Fandom High students and staff. They'd leave on the morning of the 30th via portal, arrive at Sietch Tabr, and have the chance to look around a bit. There's harvesting in the underground caverns, thoppter flights over the desert, exploring, cave-climbing in a nearby outcropping, etc. Townies can come too, if they are invited by a student or member of the staff. Terrain students, you are not required to attend, but your teacher will make very sulky faces at you if you have other plans.

Once the sun goes down a bit, Ghani, Leto, and some handwavey NPC Fremen would take them out into the desert and call a worm to ride. People can either try to hop on themselves, or have someone help them up. Please note that going on the trip does NOT require a worm-ride, if people just want a day-long trip to somewhere with sun. LOTS of sun. People would return via portal late-morning on the 1st. Much like the Spring Break trips, it would rely heavily on people making their own fun.

There are two rules for those going on this trip. First, is that there will be absolutely no abusing/overdosing on Spice, thank you. Ghanima had to do the drug assembly once, she will not do it again. The second is that there will be no uncovering of Leto's eventual future. We're not going to the capital for just that reason, and all Fremen have been instructed not to speak of it. They're wary of offworlders anyway, even ones that are Ghani's pets.

Signing up for this trip indicates an agreement to abide by these two rules. There will be no altering, fudging, or working around these two items, or Ghani will throw your butt back through a portal faster than you can blink.

If you're lucky, the portal goes back to Fandom.

Inside, you'll find some tasty tasty OCD. Sign up, ask questions, and do that OCD thing you do!
