Bobby'd been passing by the common room when he spotted Mirax opening and closing the fridge door without actually taking anything out.

"Nothing good in there?" he assumed as he stepped into the room.

"No, there's something really good in there and it's making me impatient," she said, waving him over so she could show off.

"Oooh?" Well, now he was intrigued. "Like, a food something?"

"Pie something," Mirax said, opening the door again so he could see. And it actually mostly looked like it should, too, for being made by an amateur. "I know, I'm impressive."

Jennifer wandered into the common room, looking mainly just fort company.

"Hello?" she said.

"Come count time with me," Mirax invited her, because you had to pass the time somehow. People helped that.

"...What are we counting the time for?" Jennifer asked. "Not that I'm saying I won't, I just like to know why."

"I made pie," Mirax announced. "The refrigerated kind. So you take it out too early and it's mushy and wrong."

Robin was wandering about, mentally going over his preparations for the Music final. But he was not one to even try to resist distractions like other people and the smell of food.

"Hello." Robin waved to the girl he hadn't met yet. He was more subdued than he usually was. After all he couldn't be sure of how she'd react.

Mirax sort of did a double take when she saw him. She was getting used to seeing types she wasn't used to here, and was from a pretty diverse place herself, but still, this was new. "Uh, hi," she greeted him.

Well, she didn't scream, so that was good. No throwing things either. "I'm Robin. Are you one of the new students? Until the next batch come in anyway."

"Yeah. Newish, I guess," she said. "I'm Mirax. What species are you?"

What? No sense in guessing.

Zayne wasn't sure why he ended up on the fourth floor so often. It was probably the will of the Force or something. But he was up here. "What's on the TV?" he asked, somehow managing to ask about what Mirax wasn't focused on at all.

"I haven't the slightest clue," Mirax told him. "You can change it if you want, I just had it on for background niose."

"Oh, no, I'm okay with it being background noise," Zayne said. "I just kind of expect that any time I walk into a room with a TV on, somebody's going to convince me that it's an important piece of Earth culture that I'm missing out on. It's a trend for me."

"I can't do that, so you lucked out," she told him. "Where are you from?"

"Hi!" Layla said wandering into the common room. "Is the dessert ready yet?"

"If you grab a plate, yes," Mirax answered. "I'm guessing you showing means the dessert is going to be good."

"Hey, there's always room for Jello," Layla replied as she grabbed a plate. "Throw in cherry pie filling and I'm so there."

"I think you just like freaking me out with that level of detail," she said, but still put a piece of pie on Layla's plate.
