"Okay, so then I put in the butter?" Dinah frowned into the phone, and said, "Right, low setting." She dumped two sticks of butter in the mixing bowl, and asked, "Why one egg at a time? Oh. Hunh ( Read more... )

Yakko ran into the common room and suddenly stopped.

"It's that time again!" After a brief pause, he continued, as if addressing someone who wasn't there. "No, it's time to learn the day's lesson! And to find out what it is, we turn to... The Wheel of Morality!" Yakko motioned towards the door, where a large wheel with 'The Wheel of Morality' written on it in huge letters drifted in.

"Wheel of Morality, turn, turn, turn," Yakko recited as he spun the wheel. "Tell us the lesson that we should learn." As the spinning wheel slowed down and landed on the number 1, a sheet of paper was printed from a slot on the side. Yakko went to his next line as he grabbed the sheet of paper. "Moral Number One. And the moral of today's story is... All things must pass, except for the Tennessee Titans offense."

Yakko shrugged, darted out of the room, and the wheel disappeared out into the hallway a moment later.

Dinah had to pause and stare. And blink.

"Oooookay then." And now she was going to wonder about the Titans. 'Cause wondering about Yakko just made her head hurt.

With a whole free day, and break week on the horizon, the only sensible thing to do, was find other people to share all that free time with.

So, not her own common room it was.

Since Dinah was on the phone, for now she just waved and grinned at her in greeting.

Dinah cracked the second egg, then brightened and grinnedw when she saw Angela, waving back. "So after that, it's just stir in the chips? Not mix them in?... okay, yeah, that would kind of crush them, wouldn't it. Got it, Alfred." Dinah smiled. "Have a great weekend, and I'll send you some if they come out! Byeee." She hung up her phone and turned back to Angela. "Hi! Wanna help? I'm almost at the drop-them-on-the-cookie-sheet stage."

"Ooh, cookies." Of course she'd help with that one. Well, try. Not a great cook, this one.

"What's the occasion?"

"A big thank-you to Francine's mom, who made cookies for half the dorm about a month back," Dinah said, not sure if Francine wanted the divorce revealed to everyone yet or not. "And they were yuuummy. Plus, I could use something simply and sugary now. Celebrate no more Finals!" She grinned at Angela. "How'd yours go? How's Hannibal?"
