Nicholas smirked and began carrying his owner's valuables into the house. He was still a bit surprised, and relieved, that Thermidor packed light, leaving most of her things behind. Not only did this mean there were very few, undemanding loads, but he could also count on a shopping trip in the near future. Thermidor heard Nicholas padding around upstairs as she explored the main floor. A lovely large living room opened out onto the pool. It would be perfect for entertaining.

Maybe they could go shopping and pick up some supplies for a cocktail party. Nicholas was usually up for some shopping. A party would be a lovely way to make friends in the neighborhood, too!
