Public: mayflo arrives

Nov 15, 2005 16:07

More than just shaken, mayflo finally stood facing the ever so growing Famdomopolis where she'd been seeing ads all around back at Flist Town. She clutched her rucksack tighter to keep her fingers from trembling more than they should. It was a big move from one so reclusive as her, but she was determined to... take a step further to see the world outside ( Read more... )

Walking steadily and with some as-yet-to-be-determined direction, tarotemp noticed in the distance a young and somewhat unsure looking female lounging with sign in hand that declared her immediate needs and affiliations with the members of this fandom planet.

Remembering that the immediate rules of 'blending in' in to any situation involved three things: 1) Finding a safe haven to lay your head at night that didn't involve giving head (B had learned that hard lesson during the year-long stint at the Polyjuice brothel); 2) Obtaining certain amounts of whatever monetary system/credit was used in that particular region; and 3) Aligning yourself with those who could come in handy help you out when the chips were down ( ... )

Eyes glazed over and deep in thought, mayflo was rather unconcerned about her immediate needs as she was busy daydreaming naughty situations involving her favourite boy toys, Harry and Draco, but was snapped back to reality as a female voice reached her brain.

"Huh? Oh no, not native at all. Just got here, a total brand new newbie, you know." She returned with a lopsided grin. "All I know is that I want to have a flat over here at Gutterpirates Heights. I was hoping some H/D shipper would take me as their roommate. Are you new yourself?"

"Gutterpirates? H/D?" She quickly pondered the thought and realized with glee that this girl was a steadfast follower of 'The One True Way' - a closely-knit group of devotees unanimous in their belief that the famed 'Chosen One' and the Prince of Slytherin getting together for some hawt boysecks was a pretty darned good idea.

"Oh, yes. I am quite new to the planet area" she replied back. "And I'm looking for accomodations myself... perhaps even in this Gutterpirates Heights that you speak of. If the rent isn't too high, of course..."

Giving the girl a good once-over, she quickly added "Say, you look familiar. Have you ever attended a HP Con before? I could of sworn I've seen someone that looked exactly like you at a one once." ('HP Con' being the galaxy-wide accepted name for conventions geared toward the further advancement of underage wizarding sex in the known Potterverse.)

May's eyes brightened at her mention of Gutterpirates Heights.

"Oh, brilliant! We are fellow slashers, then! You're the first I meet here, and this is all so new and exciting for me. I was all shook up at first, but I think I like it here." She exclaimed in pure glee and held out her hand. "I'm mayflo, call me May."

After a brief exchange of introductions, May continued a bit startled about Cons.

"I've never had the luck to attend one, unfortunately." She shook her head sadly. "I've been wanting to... Have you?"

Then she added quickly, "Oh, before I forget, if you're looking for a flat, I just met the lovely landlady of Gutterpirates Heights. You ought to go to her, aphoenix2007. It's really affordable; one drabble/drawble a month!"

AP was wandering around town when she came across a fellow slasher. "Looking for a flat at Gutterpirates Heights?" she asked, smiling. "I'm the landlady. Rent's one drabble/drawing a month, really low... and it doesn't start until December. What do you say?"

mayflo was stunned at her luck for a second, she failed to utter a word. She barely remembered to dust herself off quickly as she stood up.

"Yes! I am. Gosh, I'd love to! This is such a pretty building with this... superb, shiny, H/D fountain." She giggled inspite of herself.

"I'd draw anything, were I to live in this awesome neighbourhood! Do you have any rooms available? Oh, btw, call me May. I'm so honoured to meet you!"

And she stuck out her hand in greeting.

And she stuck out

AP took the profferred (sp?) hand and shook it enthusiatically. "Name a number, and it will probably be open," she said.

May bounced up and down in excitement and asked AP if room no.5 was available.

"I'd like to know how many rooms there are in the flat, too." May added. "When I get my drawble done, where should I send it to you? I think I already got one."

She grinned wickedly.
