Tara was out gathering the final few ingredients for the love spell that would bring about Merlin's freedom when she spotted the girl.

It was a cold night to be out, and Tara had compassion for everyone -- especially if they were attractive women and seemingly posed no threat to Merlin. Her eyes filled with tears as she considered the girl's plight.

"Excuse me," she said, eyes lingering on Buffy's form. "C-can I help you?"

"I think the question is, can I help you?" Buffy countered. She wasn't into girls, but she could be for a fee.

Tara licked her lips, trying not to think the way she wanted to think.

It was hard.

"You don't have to live this life," she said. "You can -- put on clothes. Go back to school. M-my master helps a lot of people."

It probably wasn't what Buffy meant, but Tara hadn't reminded the audience she was a witch since before the last commercial break.

So she said, "Magic. I do magic" and doodled a hand through the air quickly, making badly-CGI'd trails of shimmery light appear.

"Oh." Tara shook her head. "I'm kind of not allowed. That's personal gain."

She considered the girl's I assume scanty clothes again, and, with a sigh, offered, "You can have my sweater, though!"
