Caritas, Sunday Evening

Apr 01, 2012 19:52

Guy had a kid who was allergic to shirts. And possibly going to hook up with Tino if given the chance. So, he was at work, drinking on the job.

Look, you would too in this instance.

Hopefully he'd be gone by tomorrow. Ahahahahahaha, oh you.

Okay, 'Berto was totally used to Lena having boyfriends by now, but really? Flirting in a bar at Fandom? That guy could totally be a... a... a something bad!

So this? This was 'Berto trying really hard to not look like he was glaring over his root beer at the strange guy Lena was flirting with.

Really.

So Conner maybe had enough Lex in him to respond to the not!glaring by looking smug.

Haaaa. 'Berto almost looked away, but since he'd been caught, he totally had a message to send... if you do anything to hurt Lena it was totally on.

Or Kayla, too, of course, but especially Lena!

Conner wasn't intending on hurting anyone, but he was also a teenage boy, so naturally the message he sent back was 'bring it'.

Oh, he would. Especially with how conflicted and hurt 'Berto was feeling over his dad not being his dad and his mom so upset? Just totally give him a reason, dude.

And don't tell his parents, cause he'd get into SO much trouble, even if he didn't use his strength.

Well, it was a good thing Conner was invulnerable and had super-strength, wasn't it? He so didn't care if 'Berto used his strength.

Sure Clark would get all judgey at him, but he wasn't here, was he? Just the dad who was a future supervillain.

Child of a supervillain? That totally kept it in the family business and made it all right for 'Berto's look to narrow slightly. Right? Right.

(It was really too bad his dad had never really introduced 'Berto to all of the former Teen Titans, now wasn't it?)

[gotta go to bed... more tomorrow? <3s]

Hey, his other dad was like the superhero, Conner had the t-shirt and everything. So Conner was just going to glare back.

(Especially since Conner's version of 'Berto's dad had just gotten his powers.)

[Sure!]

And despite his family allegiance being pretty much solidly in the Bat's favour, 'Berto totally had the Supes nightlight, alarm clock, underoos, and still fanboyed the graphic novels that he knew were totally made up.

Not that any of that came across in the raised eyebrow and cheek twitch.

Clark was really going to need to set up some sort of official licensing, because secret identities made pursuing trademark infringement hard.

That had nothing to do with how Conner crossed his arms and glared.

Berto's family didn't have that problem, sorry. His mom totally owned stock in her product marketing back in Tokyo City, and his dad didn't really care if he had an action figure or not.

But that neither here nor there, since the guy had crossed his arms and that totally meant 'Berto had to sit up straighter and rest a well-toned arm on the bar.

That really was a well-toned arm, wait, Conner was posturing here.

Glare, Conner, glare.

Well, thanks! Some of it was natural but he did work out a lot. Mostly because he was so frustrated not being able to actually react when he got mad at people...

Whoa. Okay. His arms are now folded, too, and 'Berto leaned slightly away from the bar, his shoulders moving just slightly. Totally like a cat.

A big cat, not like the one he had at home, okay?

Conner could totally see the big cat thing, and relate to the not being able to react in case he hurt someone or set them on fire.

...by which he meant that he could totally set 'Burto on fire. With his eyes. Yeah.

Okay, 'Berto couldn't do that. Which totally sucked, and he knew from past experiences that he did actually burn.

But he could bake a mean cake! Don't give him a wooden spoon, dude; Conner would totally taste defeat.

'Berto's eyes may have flickered away for a second to check on Lena. BUT JUST A SECOND! And they totally didn't look a bit wistful either.

Cake, second only to Kryponite as a weakness. Especially considering how much teenage aliens needed to eat.

Conner caught the glance and mouthed 'girlfriend?' at 'Berto. Not that he, y'know, cared.
