Graduation was tomorrow, which meant an influx of visitors. And Trick, being the kindly Fae he was, was trying to parlay that into some kind of discount for the graduating seniors and their families. Trying was most certainly the key word in that; talking to Portalocity was an exercise in frustration at best.
He could certainly understand why the Dark Fae did so well in this establishment.
"Ma'am...yes, but with all due respect--" by which he meant none "--I think you're being just the slightest bit short-sighted...No, I do not think this is the best time for a fare hike, just the opposite!...Yes, there are more people visiting than usual, but perhaps we could...no, I was not going to suggest 'leverage this advantage to the utmost'. For one thing, I don't use corporate-speak..."
The longer this phone call went on, the more he started could understand the appeal of being a Dark Fae.
