Alluka wasn't very sad when she wandered into work--late, but she'd been up late and then woken up late and the whole day had just followed that way--but she did have the stuffed elephant that Kathy had given her instead of one of her usual companions, which meant she was at least a little sad

Ringo wasn't really shopping for new clothes, but she still pulled a cute dress and some comfortable-looking skirts off the racks to take a closer look at.

Then she headed back toward the counter where she'd left Alluka, sort of humming as she held the dress in front of her and looked down at it.

No, Ringo. Nanika was being pretty clear about what she wanted.

"Well, she's not here right now?" Nanika knew that, Ringo. Why else would she be demanding?

"So, um, how about we go back to the dorms for now?"

She reached out toward Nanika's hand, wondering if she'd follow Ringo's lead.

Nanika allowed it, though her steady stream of 'Kathy, Kathy, Kathy...' didn't abate either.

But she was pliant and obedient to being moved.

"Um." Wow. Ringo was kind of at a loss.

"Let's, uh, lock up here and go back to your room?"

She left the clothes she'd picked up on the counter, turned off the kettle, and gently tugged Nanika toward the door.
