Home school update (with pics at the end)

 So we've just completed our fifth week of home schooling.  Honestly, I can't believe it's been that long already.  It's gone by so fast.  I'm super busy and it's a ton of work, but I love it.  And I'm nowhere near as stressed out as I was when T was in public school.  Some days we go late and some days we get to end early.  We're still figuring ( Read more... )

Me too. It's so much fun to hear him tell people the different things he's learning. It's something he never really did before. I realized he's absorbing much more than I thought he was.

I'm so glad this is working out. You are doing a great job and it sounds like you are having fun as well. The most important education is one in which the learner has fun and wants to learn. You are providing T with that opportunity. I'm very proud of you.

I also like that he never has to ask me why he has to learn something. Because I try to make sure when I introduce the concept, it's in a way that shows how he'll need it in real life. Makes him more motivated to learn it that way.

Thank you! It's a lot of hard work, but I really try to do my best. My goal is to give him a better education at home than he got in public school.

So great to hear (in more detail!) how well home schooling is working out for you and T. You definitely made the right decision to do this!

Thank you. I've made many decisions throughout my life that I knew without a doubt were the right ones, but this is one of the few that just continues to confirm to me each day how right it was.
