I'm having the hardest time with it right now. It was so easy with Wayworn, but it was a whole different world. With Dreamwalker, it's based on our world and an actual ancient culture. Which makes it scary. Because what if I screw it up and it's totally unbelievable? What if I get it all wrong? But my husband, and then Ally Carter, told me that I can't write in fear (which I know but suck at putting into practice). I just have to write what I want, have confidence in it, really own it, and most people will go along with it.

I suppose that's what the Author's Note will be for at the beginning of the book -- while this is based on...little is actually known about...some liberties were taken...

And then ta-dah -- you're at liberty to do what you want/need to do within the book.

It was a blast. As exhausting as it was (I'm still trying to recover from it), I could've spent another day or two listening to/meeting all those authors.
