33.  The Hourglass Door  Lisa Mangum ***  This story wasn’t at all what I thought it was going to be, but it was still pretty good.  I liked the concept and the main characters.  It had some great romantic tension.  I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

34.  Dreaming Anastasia  Joy Preble ***  This was an interesting take on the mystery of ( Read more... )

Oh, you've read some good ones. I LOVED Anna and Near. I totally get what you mean about the story and writing for Anna. I'm so envious. And I feel the same thing for Near. The Mockingbirds was empowering. Sweetly...I wanted to love it, but it seemed slow. I really liked the Duff, but I get what you mean about her attitude. I thought Forever was a good end the the Mercy Fall trilogy. I am excited to read Scorpio Races. I want to read The Day Before and Luminous. But...I have a HUGE pile of books I must get through before I'm allowed to buy another book.

Happy Reading!

I can't wait to read Scorpio Races either. I'm so excited about that book.

You have way more restraint than me. My TBR pile keeps on growing but I keep on buying books anyway. I doubt I'll ever catch up. I just can't help myself.

Wow, so many books...none of which I've read. *needs to read more*

Although I loved Maggie Stiefvater's faerie books, I just haven't been able to get into her werewolf ones. Shiver was a letdown for me. I still plan to read the next two books in that series someday, but it's not a priority.

I need to read more too. Usually I hit 55 books in early spring.

It's funny, normally I'm not really into vampires and werewolves and whatnot. I will read books with them if someone insists that I have to and there are some that I do enjoy, but generally, not my thing. The Shiver books though... I loved those. They're some of my favorite books. But given my general opinion of werewolves and such, I can see how those books wouldn't be for everyone.

The new take on werewolves actually didn't bother me. It was just really hard for me to care about Sam and Grace...but I know I'm in the minority on that....

Nothing wrong with that. That's the beauty of books. Each book doesn't have to be for everyone (like I didn't like The DUFF, but I know people who loved it), but there's always a book for someone. :)
