The elevator doors slid open and Ducky stepped out.
“La la la. La la la...”
“Jingle Bells!! Too easy, McGee.”
Ducky smiled as he headed slowly into Abby’s lab. Abby suddenly stopped gesticulating and paused in concentration.
“La lala la laaaaa. Ba bababa baaa ba ba.” Abby began.
“Laaa lalala laaaaa…” Tony continued.
“Yes! Go, Tony!” Abby bounced on her feet. McGee just looked perpetually puzzled.
“La lala la laa la laaa.” Ducky’s rather deeper tones made McGee jump.
“Go, Duckman!”
“I wouldn’t let Gibbs hear you when there’s still a case... Oh!” Ducky chuckled and shook his head, then made his way over to his lover who was perched in the corner humming.
“It’s for the case, Duck.” Gibbs explained somewhat unnecessarily as Ducky walked past an evidence table covered from edge to edge in every Christmas compilation CD known to man. The table looked like some kind of artist impression of a city skyline.
“Ah. And these?” Ducky whispered the last as he brushed crumbs off his lover’s shirt.
“Uh, not so much.”
“Get a room, guys, or get back to the case.” Abby was pointing two pistol fingers at them with a daft grin on her face.
